I make art so I can mold the world around me into whatever I want. I enjoy having a great deal of control in many aspects of my life, and photography is one of the biggest areas of art I focus on.
For this body of work, I was inspired by both horror movies and games. I have been obsessed with the horror genre for as long as I can remember. Being able to get my heart racing without having any actual danger nearby is really what appeals to me most.
However, because of my infatuation with horror, my nervous side of my mind always likes to make me frightened for no reason. This set of pictures really embodies my own irrational fears that have stemmed from an overdose of spooky stuff.
These pictures are all shot in first-person and without other people in frame to give the feeling that the viewer is alone when the set is looked at. When I am alone, that is when my imagination tends to really pick up and make me think scary things are going to happen.
